Returning to the land of the living (pics of Cadence)

Well, Cadence is now (roughly) 3 1/2 weeks old, and we're starting to get adjusted to each other. Ok ... in truth, I've become adjusted to her crazy lack of any concept of "sleeping" and she rewards me with the occasional smile and more poopy diapers than I can count. Now - before you nay-sayers get a chance - she DOES smile at me and other thing as a responce. It's not gas like the Drs like to tell you. And lucky for you guys, I have proof!

I feel like I'm finally starting to remember what life was like outside of caring for her 24/7. I'm just starting to enjoy it, and now I have to go back to work in a week. Bummer!!

OMG, Shanti! Cadence is absolutely beautiful!!! I LOVE the pic of her smiling at her grandparents(?), and her sweetness in the sleepy photo. As far as the Halloween eyes go, well... you are going to be in for some real adventures in the future... Buahahahaha!!!

That is her great-great-aunt Fran and great-great-uncle Mario. That was about a week ago with a BIG breakfast with a bunch of Eric's family. Everyone got a chance to hold her, but she was just in love with Fran. She sat there and made huge smiley-faces at her for a good 15 minutes.
