riverbed rock?

I just picked up some nice river bed rock. decent size rock. So i figured id use it in some of my tanks.

BUT, how do i disinfect it? right now its soaking in bleech water....will that be good enough?

i let them soak hot clean water for a while.
then i let them dry in the sun.

but they still smelled like bleech....so i kind of boiled them to make sure.

Let the rocks air dry in the sun (if you still have sun...) for a few days and they should be OK. Unlike ammonia, chlorine will dissipate in the air after awhile.

I soaked what I got form the creek for 24 hours in bleach water, then rinsed the heck out of it them baked it at 300 for several hours then ran it through the dishwasher just to be safe.
