Roach Bin Rack System

Im thinking of expanding my roach colony soon. Right now i have about 60 breeding females with 6 males in a Sterilite Bin. But i have not had max production from them because they have been at room temp, 80'-82'F, and a heating pad doesnt stick on the tub.

I plan to buy 250 more females after Daytona.

Has anyone ever tried to make a rack with heat tape running along as "belly heat" for their Roach Bins?

I think its a great way to keep multiple bins, save space, and optimize breeding b/c of the heat tape running along the bottom.

If anyone has any photos and building plans to share please post them.

If not ill just have to design my own, lol no biggie :main_thumbsup:

What size bin do you guys think i would need to house 300 female roaches and 30 male roaches?

i actually plan on doing the same thing when the weather cools off, but for right now my garage is perfect for them. i have a 4 ft section of leftover 11" tape and im thinking about actually wrapping the tub instead of "belly" heat.

Hey Alex, any luck with starting the rack I would love to see one done. I just got a bigger bin for my colony but I really would like to make a rack for them too. keep us posted on your progress.
