Yes Yes I know they are roaches ... But, I am looking to expand my roach colonies and get into a few other species. I want them to be the "happiest" and healthiest most productive they can be. content healthy roaches make healthy geckos:D. So. ?

does any one know if they prefer or seem more productive if they are in semi clear tubs or solid walled ones. the only thing it would effect is light. the darker the better or does it not matter between the two.

Well I've got dubia and Lats and I'm planing on getting more of both I also want to get some discoids and one other species, to be kept a secret.:main_evilgrin:;)

is that what its about, people wanting to keep their secrets. I wouldn't ever have thought that there would be secrets about breeding roaches. I also never thought I would be dreaming about them (in a good way) or thinking about the most efficient cost effective way to keep and breed thousands of the buggers.:main_laugh::freak:

come on people,, sharing is caring.:D

Dark

Keep them dark. As dark as you can absence of light kind of dark is best. Also using Roach condos as opposed to egg cartons is good for maximizing space. They like it more crowded and less elbow room. The condos can be made with 12 by 12 inch cork tiles and 4 long bolts, use washers or nuts to make the desired spaces between levels.
