Hi guys,

Im having some problems with my gecko and i need to feed her ;(

She's not happy to eat live or killed mealworms, and currently I dont have a blender so i cant make a soup from the recipe which is above. I've heard i can give Royal Canin Convalescence Support but that seems kind odd to me so here comes my question - is this true, and I can give her some of it to make her gain weight and maybe start eating normally ?

Well I think the first step would be to find out what's causing the problem. I personally don't think I would use that and have never heard of anyone using it. Maybe someone else can give you some suggestions on what to use, as I don't really have much experience there.

Would you like to fill out this form so we can try to help you with whatever is going on? http://geckoforums.net/f130-health-medications/70912.htm

She's a ten year old female. Never had any problems with her. She stopped eating, when she started to get to thin i've contacted my vet and everything looks fine ;/ the conditions havent change so i dont think there might be a problem. If not the royal canin stuff, maybe repashy grub pie is a good option ? I hope if forcefeed her for feed days, and she will get on weight the she will just start eating normally

Most people use a bug slurry, Oxbow Carnivore Care, or Fluker's Repta Boost. Not familiar with the Convalescence Care.
Link to slurry recipe posted here: http://geckoforums.net/f130-health-medications/54742.htm

A daily soak in a little warm water (to gecko knees) will also help hydrate her.

Please double-check your setup and make sure you're providing appropriate heat, humidity/hydration, and supplementation. You say nothing has changed, but you also didn't post the questionnaire for assessment. Geckos are more sensitive to subtle environmental issues when they are juveniles or elderly.

GeckoBoa has a good outline of care:

Everything is checked, its not my first gecko, and i have some experience with appropriate conditions for them ;) Unfortunetely both products you mentioned are not avaiable in Poland, so i will try to make the slurry as close as i can for her, and hope it will do the job. Do you think that if i wont blend the mealworms but chop them for really tiny pieces and then mix it i could be an option ?. The Convalescence care seems to odd for me, and if you guys havent tested or even heard about it i wont take a risk of using it
