So....I am in the process of designing a new hatchling rack, as my other rack is now overly full. I can't imagine how that happened. :main_rolleyes:
Anyway, I was going to build another melamine rack, but they are sooo heavy and bulky.
I just bought a bunch of new storage totes and I had put them on the Rubbermaid storage shelves that we have in the garage when I unloaded them from the truck.
We just went out to the garage and I was like, 'hey, those fit perfectly on those shelves.' And Shawn was like, 'I'm getting rid of those to install the new shelves in here. Is there any reason I can't cut the posts in half so the shelves aren't so far apart and I'll wire heat up for you on them? That way they're movable, adjustable, etc.' I have a bad arm, so melamine is impossible for me to move around by myself if necessary (ie: naughty little escapee hatchling the other night :main_rolleyes: Don't worry, Shawn got her out!
)
Anywhoo.....sorry about the 8 mile long post, but I'm just wondering if anyone has tried to convert the Rubbermaid plastic-type shelves into a rack?? I have a few of them at my disposal already. My only concern was heat on them, but then I remembered that I keep plastic totes on heat 24/7! lol
Thanks for reading my book! Any thoughts??
