rubbing his face on things?

i don't know much about gecko behavior. i've kind of stolen my brother's gecko from him, because he isn't taking care of it. i just cleaned the tank and put some new things in there, and he's rubbing his face all over everything! why is he doing that? he's rather pale, so maybe he's going to shed? do they rub on things when they shed? it's really weird and cute to watch.

From your description it sounds like he is in shed and he is trying to break the skin so he could full it off. Do you have a humid hide?

oh, nevermind! he did shed. he broke the skin apart on his nose. yeah, i have a humid hide, now that i did some research and cleaned the tank for my brother. but he didn't go in it- he just dunked himself in the water bowl and then started rubbing! it was a little alarming. i guess i learned something new today.
