Safe for moisture???

so i was standing there peeling my orange tossing my peels into the trash and then it hit me! i wonder if mealies would like this for a change for moisture... *ponders* is it safe? good for em?

anyone got a list of safe foods that can be used for moisture for em? i primarilly use carrots, but know alot use potatoes too! but what else??? :main_rolleyes:

That I read a post about Mealies where Orange Peels are good for them.

If it isn't they will not eat it.

I've heard orange peels work great..but make sure there isn't any of the meat on the peels. I haven't tried it with mine yet.

food source (bedding) does make sifting possible.....
When doing so be aware that moisture/mold/mildew is now
even more important to control against.
Grain mites get started in wet broken grains easiest...
and can be a possible problem later for a gecko.
The best moisture item is orange peels.
Just the peel, on top of your grain with the skin side down,
until it dries good.
It still supplies what meal worms want for a long
time after it looks very dry.......very little chance of
moisture problems when using it.
Worms and beetles will gather under the peel for both
harvesting worms and the beetles laying eggs.
