Here are my girls. Sally is my first - got her in September '08. She's a Striped Giant - top picture was taken a few weeks ago and the bottom was taken a few weeks after I got her.
Moxy was a Christmas present from my husband, although I've only had her for 2 weeks. She's a Giant Carrot Head Carrot Tail Albino. She's huge (at least compared to Sally) - I was hoping to house them together, but due to the size difference, I'm keeping them separate for at least a while past the quarantine period. Kind of leaning toward keeping them apart permanently - seems like they may be happier and healthier that way?!

They are BOTH beautiful, and look to be very healthy :main_yes: I LOVE Moxy though, she's very stunning!

I personally do not like housing geckos together at all...IMO there are very few multiple housing situations that work as well as people would like :)

I highly respect your opinion Heather, but we have had a lot of success keeping multiple leos together. That does not mean that it happens all of the time, and we have had an experience where the females didn't get along at all. However, some females, oddly enough, do seem to enjoy company. Our gecko Leda continued to stay "darkened" a week after she had been shipped. We plan to breed her and another female to the same male, so we put the two females together. Leda lightened up that very day, it was crazy. As we know, they tend to darken when they are stressed, so it really dose seem that she feels more comfortable with company.

BronzeSoldier, as for your two Giant geckos, which are both very beautiful, there may be a possibility of keeping them together when they're generally the same size. Males and females don't need to be the same size when housed together, but from my experience, it seems that females definitely do. They're both Giants, and Giants are generally known to be very docile. You could give it a try if you'd like in the future, and see how things go. You just need to monitor them for a few hours when they first get together. It's fun to watch them interact, just make sure they don't exhibit any aggressive behaviors (i.e. tail waving or stalking). It's really a continuous thing, watching them everyday and making sure everything is okay. No bite marks on anyone, no competition for food, water, or hiding places, etc. You may find that they will cuddle up and sleep together often :)

Good luck in all that you do :)
