Hi,

This year I have a new breeding trio with leos that I bought from owners who no longer wanted them. Because of this I am unsure of their morphs, however I'm assuming my male (first picture) is a mack snow, my first female is a hypo of some sort? (second picture), my second female (third picture) is a normal and my third female (fourth picture) is another hypo? The two females who i'm assuming are hypos I am unsure of so anyone feedback would be appreciated.

Anyway! I have 13 eggs so far and three have hatched. Of those, all are mack snows...and i'm starting to wonder whether this is due to my males genes being more dominant or sheer luck so far that my 50% mack snow ratio is hatching first? The first baby was from the third female and the second two are clutchmates from the first female.

Would you say this is a normal outcome? I'm intrigued as to what will pop out next!

Thanks :)

We shall see in a few weeks! :) I'd like to know what other outcomes I could get...hmmm

(Also, I meant high yellow rather than hypo regarding two of the females...plus the first female has a fair amount of orange on her tail to be classed as a carrot tail wouldn't you say?)

the odds are 1 in 8 that you would get 3 snows in a row.

As for calling the first female a carrot tail. Carrot tail usually means that there is no black in the orange part of the tail. Anyway, she is gorgeous!

keep us updated...

Im gonna say the first female is a tang for sure...agreed no carrot tail due to the black spots...and the other two females look as though they are high yellow/lavender atleast on my screen I see lavender spots and lavender in the tail. They are gorgeous tho!

1 in 8, i guess i have just been lucky then!

Ah I see what you mean about the black spotting on her tail, i'm glad I asked for all of your diagnostics!
So i'm assuming from this that I could get more mack snows or some normals, and high yellows?

P.S. I'd love to have the possibility of hatching out a super snow but I know its not possible, however these macks are adorable..and fiesty!

:)
