So my little guy hasn't been eating for the past few days, he's not interested in his food. He ate six crickets December 4th, went three days without food, ate two crickets with calcium December 8th, and went another two days without food, bringing us to tonight.
I picked him up yesterday and noticed something weird on his lip, I got a better look tonight, unfortunately my camera isn't good enough to get a decent picture of this.
I think it is either a scab or stuck shed, it is on the side of his mouth, about halfway back, on the actual "lip", there is the row of larger scales just around the mouth and this is just below them on the upper lip(as in if he was a human it would be ON his lip). It looks like a small indent with either a thin strip of skin or a scab on it. It is a pale brown "scab-y" color. There is swelling, not too much but noticeable, and the front part of the skin/scab is peeling just a little. I don't want to poke at it too much, but I moistened it with a wet q-tip.
Sorry for no pictures, but does anyone think this is a scab or a stuck shed? Could a cricket have done this to him? Should I put antything on it? It is technically in his mouth, I need to pull down his bottom lip to get a decent view of it. Wait and see? He wants to eat, he looks at and made half hearted bites at the crickets tonight, and he is still drinking. any advice?
