i noticed that my leo(he is a petco leo) has a scab on its mouth. i dont believe its mouth rot.

i feed my leos mealworms(razor gets large regular mealworms in a dish)
they are in a breeding rack, belly heat, temps are good humidity etc. none of my leos has ever had this issue. i am not sure if when shedding he pulled the skin with it. but here is a picture. I will be making a vet call in the morning to see what they have to say.

NOTE: he has stopped eating all together. i just put a mealie in front of him and he ate it, but it looked like it hurt the living hell opening his mouth. I also checked the inside of his mouth and there is no bleeding or any other signs of scabbing or infection

kinda looks a bit ulcerated to me but picture is not of great quality. if it hurts him that much then im not surprised hes not eating poor thing :S
kinda dose look like mouth rot but a trip to the vets is the way to go. head type injeries can get quite serious if not correctly dealt with.
For tonight try cleaning it with warm salty water and a q-tip.
good luck

yeah its a type of massive meal worm. my oldest gecko wont eat any thing else. but it freaks me out feeding them to him because of their massive pincers.

I agree. When I first bought a box, the guy told me to kind of squeeze in their head. - not to kill it but to push their /\ pointy kind of teeth things at the side in. I can't remember what you call them lol
