Scammers

Now I know not all people that do this are scammers but some you can plainly see they are not doing it for the animals.

I was on gumtree and pets classifieds today (british equivalent of craigslist etc we have that here as well but I don't really use it)
and its over run with these adverts for people who offer "reptile rehome services".
Now I know some of these people really do care about the reptiles and do genuinely give them a good home which I don't have a problem with, its the people you can plainly see don't care adverts with language such as.

If u hav any lepord gekkos or ball snakes you don't want anymore, I can take it in 4 u. wiv or wivout viv.


Things like that, you can tell they either just want it so they can breed because they can't be bothered to go out and spend money on decent encloures etc or they are just trying to make money out of it by selling it on.

I was taken in by the other end of this "scam" where the guy had obviously gotten ojo (the bosc i recieved) off of somone, and he said he had had the guy for 10 months, due to his size he was no more then 6 months.
He wanted a trade for ball pythons, and I had two I swapped for the bosc.

The next day, I was looking around on gumtree again (I know I have problems don't we all) but i like looking for deals on equiptment and things. I came across this guys advert advertising my two ball pythons!

Safe to say I was balistic.

Anyway that was my rant, I can't stand the cheek of some people!

Oh my! I cant believe that he had the nerve to do that to you! I am so sorry! Did you confront him about it?
I look on my cities craigslist all the time and I always see those people willing to take in "unwanted" reptiles.... They just look pathetic to me, because I am sure that they are turning around and selling them... its sad. It would be nice if someone was really doing that with good intentions.

Yeah I still had his phone number so I rang him up and gave him an earful down the phone, but it was a straight up trade so I couldn't really do anything about it, I just hope if he does end up selling them on, somone will get them who cares about them.

I hate that when pepole go and do stuff like that to others thier is no need to be that way none what so ever Iam sorry that happen to you srt4292 if I was you I go back on thier and confront him like gitrdone said cuz if it was me I would do it in a heart beat.

Oh believe me I phoned him up right away and used a few metaphors and some rather bashful language that would get me banned from here in a heartbeat so I will refrain from saying so further.
