Thought you all would get a kick out of this story.
Earlier today my sister completely freaked out. She screamed and told me there was a lizard in her room. So, I go up to her room expecting maybe to find an Alligator Lizard, since those are rather creepy and mean looking--not scary at all though. What do I find? A baby Blue Belly sitting on top of her shoe with a missing tale. This surprised me because I didn't expect there to be any reptiles out as it is still way too cold for them. But there he was looking at me from the top of the shoe. So I walk over as my sister continues to freak out and notice there's not one of these, but two! A second one was on the same shoe hiding in the laces--also a baby. I took the little guys outside, they didn't bolt, didn't freak, or anything. I've come somewhat to expect this from the babies, though that adults never stick around. I prodded them off the shoe, and off they went.
This got me wondering if perhaps there had been an adult who had given birth (do bb's have live young or eggs?). It just doesn't seem likely that two babies just got up there in one spot together like that. There's no food there, etc.
Anywho, it was funny and they were so cute!
