I am looking for replacements to Allen's Superhatch, as it is not cost effective to purchase a 4lb bag of Superhatch @ $15 and then pay $10 shipping.

I had ordered 12lbs from LLL reptile for $15, but they have discontinued the sell of superhatch due to unable able to order it according to the representative that contacted me to ask how I would like to proceed with my order.

So I am wondering how the above substrates in the title will work compared to Allen's superhatch as I can order them in much larger quantities for the same price of shipping or can even purchase them local at the pet store or garden center.

I know that the Shultz APS is the same as Superhatch, but courser. I have been unable to find any good information other than kilned dried clay for the mentioned products in the title.

Just go to Home Depot and get their APS from Schulz's I've used it for a year and it seem to have smaller particles and works ok. Personally I'm still not sole on the whole Super hatch thing but thats just me.....

I love superhatch, very easy to setup and I have not had any eggs lost from incubating in it. I lost all my eggs due to suffocation, I know keep ventilation holes in my containers.

buy hatchrite or vermiculiter or perlite or if ur risky eco earth

I like superhatch because it can be boiled and reused, plus there is no work required to make sure that it is moist enough or still holding moisture.
