Second gecko...tomorrow

So I have been seeing the same gecko posted on the local craigslist here for about 2 months and I finally took the bait and going to get it tomorrow.

It looks white from her blurry photo and needs a little fattening up. Comes with a tank and heater. Only thing I need to do is switch out the (gulp)calci-sand for tile.

I'll post pics. Says it's female and 8 months old. Darn these small critters, one truly isn't enough. :D

two will turn into three, then four, then 65...then 200....

lol, congrats on your new addiction. if there's a 12 step program... i don't want to join. make sure you post pics of your new leo and keep an eye out for any signs of impaction. being that you said it needs to be fattened up is a red flag already. i hope its healthy.

Ya I knew it was a red flag.No pencil tail at least. She has only been feeding crickets. I will keep an eye on the possibility of impaction. The set up for heat and what not is good. So fingers crossed. Paying a pretty minimal amount for it all.

Nothing wrong with only feeding crickets...

Not a varied diet, but still nothing wrong with it if they are properly gutloaded and dusted with proper calcium and vitamins/minerals.

I would gather from her set up and where she got it from she was feeding straight from the pet store. BUT that doesn't matter now because she's coming home with me. :)

ok here is the new booger. No idea what morph. I had to laugh because the lady said she was so confused because it keeps changing color. I told her it was still a baby and had some growing up to do.

Anyways. Appears to be in good shape. Very lively. They were feeding 12 crickets once a week. Ya a dozen every Sunday. The cage was gross. Calci-sand and mostly wet. The far end looked like it had never been cleared of fecal matter since they owned it.

Everything is empty and being disinfected now. Sand is in the trash. I'll get some tile this week.

Don't know if it's M/F yet. I'll take a look after it has settled in. May not even be able to tell yet. Anyone know what morph?
