Secret room behind the background!

Apparently my Leo thinks there's a secret room behind the fake background because she constantly squeezes through one of the 2 small gaps that are for wires to run behind it. Any suggestions on something easy and safe that I can use to stop her from climbing back there? I was thinking of just running a strip of black duct tape along the edge so its not very noticeable but wasn't sure if that would be safe for my leo?

My gecko used to do this all the time, but she has stopped now she is too fat to squeeze back there. Do you have wires running behind it? If not, try flipping the background upside down so the holes are at the top. Or if there are wires there maybe just block the holes with the hides

Actually, when we first set it up we had the holes at the top. She would climb the wall and work her way behind! It was pretty impressive actually. I then flipped it upside down and put some small rocks in front of it but she just kept working at them till she got through. I tried putting a big log in front and she'd just try and squeeze between them till she got to it. She really wants into that secret room!

Is it a problem for you if she does go back there? If not, just leave her to it. My gecko currently has a fixation of climbing up the background, grabbing onto the mesh roof and scaling across it to the other side of the tank where her main goal is to land on the hide attached to the wall with magnets and then jump down onto the bridge. At first we were super scared because she always falls off, but she just gets back up and tries again like its her goal to do it successfully once every day. They know what they are doing, and I would assume if it hurt her she would not do it again, and that goes for your gecko too. So I would just leave her to it and she will likely grow out of it (literally).

I flip the background so the two holes are on top; then, plug them with paper towels.
