Mission accomplished. I can control myself when bad things happen. I asked a girl to prom and got the "friend card" 2 days later. This makes me now 0 for 7. At least I didnt throw a tantrum like I wanted. What I REALLY wanted to do was start pounding my fist on the locker. Instead I just nodded, said yea and I understand and blah blah blah. I ended up throwing something at the record board at practice and knocking off half the letters and punching a kick board, but at least I can control things when this kinda stuff happens.

Well if you have asked out seven people now, you must be getting desperate (I could be wrong) so I don't understand why your getting so worked up?

Little harsh there...

Well, Tom, it's good you can control it, but I see Tonya's point. If you really want to just go to prom, going as "friends" isn't a bad thing. Especially at your age you do not need to go to something so formal with someone you like. I never even asked anyone I "liked" to a dance until senior year. Well, I take that back. I liked one of the girls sophomore year, but she didn't know at the time. If you have asked 7 girls I am guessing you want to go, so my advice is to find someone even if it is just as friends and have a good time. That way you will not have to worry about "if she likes you to" or any of that nonsense. Good luck.

Just think man. Does not make any sense to freak out over something like this. It only can/will make things worse. Take it from someone who has been there!

Young people are shooting eachother nowadays over things. They are maybe afraid of you by now? I dunno.

Does not really sound like self restraint if you are getting that angry. They are just young girls, and you are still young yourself. You have plenty of time. Dont worry about it so much, things will happen on their own.

I agree, just go!!! I went by myself to two of my three proms. Spent the night having a great time with all my friends, male and female. The time I did go with my boyfriend was ok, but I remember the time shared with my friends more.

I agree that you may have the reputation of being a hot head, I know you've shown that side here to us in your rant threads. I wish you luck in finding a girl to go, but I think you'll have more fun without the stress of one.

Rob and I keep wishing that we had gone as friends back in my senior year....but we were both dating other people who didn't want to go...maybe it woulda made our relationship happen sooner...maybe we wouldn't have made it to prom at all LMFAO
