I'm not the greatest at genetics, but I believe it would take you a couple generations to breed out the rainwater and prove it out. Somebody who is better at this can confirm. I believe you would have to do the following at least with the information you offered:
Season one-Breed your visual to the normal
Season two-breed your het rainwater to a non-het rainwater
Season three-take any offspring that is not a visual albino and breed it to an albino to see if you get any visual albinos. If you do, then you know it is a het rainwater still. If not then you can assume it is not het rainwater. Remember any offspring from this pairing will be het rainwater.
This is still not 100% going to guarantee you got rid of the rainwater gene. In my opinion you would be better off buying one that does not have the rainwater genes if that is not going to fit into your other projects.

What I would suggest is this:

Year1
Breed your Mack Snow Rainwater Patternless to a Patternless
Some offspring will be Snow Pat others will be just Pat but all will be 100% het RW

Year 2
Breed the Snow Pat offspring back to the Patternless
Again some offspring will be Snow Ptt and others will be Pat. Now they are only 50% het RW.

If this is good enough stop. If not do again, or breed these second generation babies to eachother and you will get a mix of Super Snow Pats, Snow Pats, and Pats. Now they only have 12.5% chance of being het.

But for all this, I would rather buy a Snow and a Patternless and breed, get snow het pat for year 1, and breed together to get Super Snow Pats, and Snow Pats. Easier, quicker, and cheaper. IMO

OOOO, I see. You're trying to go the other direction. You want pure rainwaters. I read it as you wanted patternless snows. (I read it as you want to breed out the rainwater). In that case.

Breed MS RW Pat to Normal
Get Normals and Snows. Both 100% het RW and Pat

Take Offspring and Breed together.
Get Normals, RW, Pat, and Pat Rw. [RW will be 66% het Pat]

Take RW offspring and breed together.
Get RW, maybe some Pat, and Pat RW. [RW will be very little % het Pat]

But there are other ways to go about it- I have seen some pure RW, or RW with other hets. Those would be easier to make 'pure'

great so i was right in thinking i can just put a normal in with them.i should have 5 het rw/pattenless so fingers crossed i would get a couple off them but worst comes to the worst breed them back with their parents.so its the same as the trempers really then.thats good.wish in the uk we could find pure rainwaters though.i dont mind shipping if anyone knows anyone in the usa who would ship to the uk.:main_yes:

just out of interest how would it work with a supersnow patternless het rainwater?would it be the same or more macks because of it being supersnow rather then mack snow?
