My original post was done on my phone, so I thought I'd elaborate a bit: I've kept lizards in the past, but this is my first attempt at taking care of a leopard gecko. Professor Google tells me that this little one is a male due to the lump near the base of the tail; my kids have named "him" Oscar, and I just wanted to make sure that's what we've got here! If it helps, the gecko is about 5" long. Any input is appreciated. Thanks!
Thank you! I can't get a clear shot of his tank mate's goodies, but "she" is slightly larger than he and lacks the lump at the base of "her" tail. Does that mean female, or could it still be a late-developing male?
I would remove the other form the tank. keep the apart. You can not hosue Male and females together. You also can not house Male and male. No matter if they were raised together or not. You will either end up with a stressed out female, or a dead male. So please look into getting another tank to house them in different ones.
