ok my new geckos legs shake somewhat when he walks. i have heard that this can be caused by not having enough calcium. so if i just up the amount of calcium intake will he be ok? or could it be that he is still shaky from the shipping?( came in yesterday) also plain calcium should always be in the tank at all times, D3 calcium once or twice a month and vitaimans once a week right? thanks

Could be any of what you said. Make sure you're dusting his food.
I'd almost give him a few more days to see what happens. What are your temps?
Do you know what he was housed on before? If it was something loose, it could be from not being used to walking on 'solid' substrate (or vice versa)

cool side is 78, hot side top part( there are two levels on that side) is 96 and the lower hot side is 90. no i dont know what he was on before i will try and find out. i have not tried to feed him yet, i was told to give him about 4 days or so to get use to his new home before trying.

It can never hurt to offer him food and see if he takes it. If he doesn't want to eat, then he won't eat.

ok the guy said he kept him on paper towels too. i will put a few milles in there and see if he eats them. i really hope that he is just shakey from the shipping.

the guy i got him from gave me some good info about how to take care of him before i even got him. everything he told me about how he kept him is just like every one else on this site. i really dont think he is shakeing because he did not get eough calcium.

Yeah, if the guy before you kept him well, and he's not showing signs of MBD, he's probably just stirred up from shipping still. Getting his 'land legs' back, so to speak.

If it's only a little shaking, then it's normal. The way you were describing it, it sounded as though he was extremely unsteady on his feet ;)

Not a problem at all :)
Better to ask and have it be nothing then to not ask and have it be serious
