I have a gecko that is blind in one eye and she keeps attacking the glass. If she see's someone move outside of the tank she lunges and slams her head into the glass trying to attack w.e is moving. Same with reflections.

I have a black garbage bag taped to the outside of each side of the tank for now. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what else I could do?

She doesnt seem able to relax for more than like 20min at a time. Shes eating fine so thats not a problem. I feel so bad for her and Im afraid shes going to hurt herself.

By blind in one eye, what exactly do you mean? How did that happen? She may relax a bit in a plastic tub she cannot see out of, like a solid colored one, lidded and well ventilated. Heat mats don't get hot enough to melt them. I would just transfer all her "furniture" to that, and if she does bop the sides, there's no danger of injury. Also, be sure there are no sharp edges on anything.

That will only make the glass inside the tank produce more distinct reflections. If you're going to use an opaque visual barrier- do it inside the tank. Or, as Laney mentioned, move to an opaque enclosure.

It happend because she got a peice of shed stuck in her eye that got infected. Vet kept her overnight with iv antibiotics because the drops and ointment didnt work. Shes now healthy and eating again but lost sight in that eye.

Ill put something up on the inside of the tank and see if that helps.

Awwww how sad :( glad you got her sorted though! I agree with the others on transferring her to a box. You also can get coloured vinyl rolls that are self sticky that you could line the inside of her tank going up the sides a few inches.
Good luck :main_thumbsup:

Ok so what I did was, I put a thin peice of wood inside the tank against the front of the tank so that she wouldnt see any movement outside and it seems to be working. Shes more relaxed now =).
