So here's the ruff draft. I made it outta salt dough, but would like to do the final piece in foam based clay.

(The new design will have a removable ""cave" for the stuffed seal. The fabric is just to give an idea;))

(I need alot more gems, but I think it really looks like icy water:D)

(From the side:p)

Poor Mylo was rubbing on everything in his viv trying to shed. But my winter themed set-up has all rounded objects! Poor little bug-a-boo. So I'm making this as a shed aid. The gems have a slight edge but aren't sharp. Hope he likes it:)

soo cool id love to make one

Thank you. I'm really excited about this project!:D For those with desert themed viv's, I had thought about picking up a soft bristled dish brush. With green colored bristles. When you turn it bristle side up, it looks like a plant! Really easy to Incorporate into a viv. It would also work for jungle/forest type themes:)

I'll be picking up more foam clay this weekend. I'm hoping to have it done by next Mon.;)

What do you use to make your projects?

It depends on what I'm doing. I like salt dough for solid sculpture type things.
Like this salt dough ramp I made for Mylo's coconut "snowball" hide:

But I like foam based clay for projects that I want to be lighter in weight.
Like the cover for Mylo's moist hide:

I use just about any non toxic item in my projects. A brush looks like a plant to me and plastic gems looks like icy water. :)
