Shed stuck to eyeball?

Right so I was just feeding the girls when I noticed that Tara seemed to have a little white dot on her eyeball. Now Tara has had bad eyes ever since I got her, it's possibly due to a bad shed or previous owners trying to help her shed, one eye is completely useless from what I can tell and she has a little vision in the eye that didn't get annihilated. Because of this I have to help Tara out and help her out with dinner, by placing the mealies right under her nose and in some cases touching her nose with the mealie so she knows its there, which I have no problems with doing. Right I'm rambling my point is, the white dot is on the more damaged of her eyes, it almost likes like it's shed? Is it ok to proceed as normal and use a wet cotton bud to try and very carefully remove it or am I in the realm of needing to take her to the vets to get her eye washed out?
I'm going to get my OH to check on Tara later on, as my eyes are rubbish as it is (oh the irony of the blind gecko for the blind owner) so it's quite possible the white dot is in fact the reflection of the light or something daft but my eyes can't tell the difference.
So yeah if it's not my eyes being daft and there is a white dot on Taras eye what would you all recommend? I'd like to stress that it appears to be on her eyeball as opposed to in or a part of her eyeball. Just seemed a little strange and has me very confused!
Sorry for rambling, lack of sleep and brain fried from uni assignments.

If the white dot is on the cornea, and attached, it's most likely a bacterial inclusion. Possibly a bacterial infection from a scratch on the cornea.

Best to take to the vet for some antibiotic drops, eg Ciprofloxacin.

Good luck

OK turns out, false alarm! LOL There's nothing on Tara's eye, thank God! It'd just got to the point that my eye was so tired that my little white dot made an appearance LOL Oops!
