Hi. My name is Morgan and I own a beautiful, healthy 10 year old leopard gecko named Mica (http://bestc.am/w27). She's very fat and happy and has never had any health problems.
Today she shed and had a small amount of skin sticking out of her ear so I used a pair of tweezers to remove it. However, the skin ended up being more then I anticipated - a large ball of what appeared to be moist shedded skin actually came out of her ear! It didn't appear to hurt her as she just sat there calmly and didn't even flinch, but it was obviously blocking something because once I removed it I was able to see light through the canal. That made me worried so I checked her other ear and low and behold I couldn't see light shining through it and there was a piece of skin sticking out of it as well. I tried to remove it with the tweezers, but this time it didn't come out and she didn't like me fussing with it so I've let it be. However, now I'm worried that she has skin stuck in her ear canal that might cause damage or pain.
Has anyone had this issue with their gecko and if so what did you do about it?
Thanks in advance!
