shedding aid for retained eye caps

Has anyone had a problem with shed aid making your geckos eyes worse. We sprayed ours and she wont even try to open her eyes now. The product is supposed to be safe for eyes, but she seem worse and I'm getting really worried.

Leopard geckos do not have eye caps.

When we explained the problem to the gecko guy at the pet store he gave us zoo med repti shedding aid to spray on her eyes..it says it is for retaind eye caps and stuck shed. I hope it didnt hurt her.

Your best bet is to get in touch with a reptile vet. I'm not familiar with that product but I could see it being an eye irritant if it is designed for reptiles with eye caps and applied to an animal with an unprotected eye like a leopard gecko.
