Shedding? How often?

Have had my gecko for a month and a half she is eating voraciously and I think shes growing.... Have yet to have her shed though. She is between 3-4 months old according to the petstore I got her from (adding purchase age to time owned). Should she have shed by now? If not how often do they shed? Thanks

You cannot really go based on her age. An animal picked up from a petstore was probably moved a few times in a short period (from her breeder, to the pet store, to your house etc) and was probably slightly underweight when you got her. So she had a bit of extra room in the old suit if you get my meaning. Now that she's on a regular feeding cycle after she sheds the first time you will probably get a more regulated cycle.

sometimes they will start and finish sgedding at night so you might not see it either.

*Update* After a long 1.5 months Velma is currently shedding! Yay. Very interesting process to watch. I never saw my bearded working the shed off himself.

my new Leo is starting to look cloudy. I'm guessing that means she is getting ready to shed. How many days until she starts to shed?
