So I just got my gecko a week and a half ago and when I woke up this morning she was shedding. She was having trouble with her head, tail and toes so I helped her and now shes fine. She just has some skin left right on top of his eyes and when I tried to get it off but when I did she seem to act like it hurt her so I stopped. Will she be able to get it off or do I need to help her? Is she just acting like it hurts? This is my first gecko so I have no idea!

Does she have a moist hide to help her?

Just keep an eye on her, if by this evening she does not have it off, you can take a damp q-tip to the stuck shed, and gently try to roll the skin off.

yes she does have a moist hide in her cage but she seemed to like sitting in te water dish better. I mist it every hour if not more so it is moist she went in or a little bit and I left her alone but she crawled out I dont think she liked it. I misted her as well to see if that would help and I have left her alone hoping that maybe she will take it off but I will check back this evening and try and help her if she still needs it.

I've never had a leo that sits in its' water dish, so that seems unusual to me. It could indicate that the cage is too hot. What are your temps?
