Shedding problems?

I've always heard that it was bad to help a leo shed before they're ready because you can damage their skin underneath. However, my female just shed (on her own) and she has a small red spot where her skin is missing.. Is this normal, or something I should worry about? I'll try to post a picture in a minute.

sometimes a gecko will have an injury that's scabbed over and when they shed the scab peels off too exposing fresh flesh. though i can't see the pics, i would guess that's the case.

keep an eye on it for any changes but i wouldnt' worry too much
