shedding question

I have a question regarding the shedding of leopard geckos. I think my gecko is around 3 months possible 4 months. I have had him for 3 weeks. He has been eating daily and pooing daily. However he hasn't pooed since the night before last. Yes he has missed one day of pooing but this raises my concerns as he poos every day. He didn't eat much last night (1 mealie and 1 locust compared to his usual 3 mealies and 4 locusts) and I have noticed this afternoon he is white (about to shed)

Sorry, being new to geckos I don't know what normal shed behaviour is. Is it normal for leopard geckos to not eat or poo a day or two before a shed? I know this is normal of corn snakes as I have 2 and they miss a feed before a shed. Just want to make sure he is fine.

Any reply would be good just to put a new anxious mammas mind to rest

Your Leopard is fine. They don't eat before they shed. I have noticed the same is true with my friend Joe's snakes as well. So maybe all reptiles don't eat before they shed.

My snakes have never refused a meal before a shed - but it does happen! :)
Just a random comment.
I did notice that my gecko stops eating before she sheds too, so I wouldn't worry.

Thats cool your snakes eat before they shed. Joe has a very large snake collection burms, balls, kingsnakes, milksnakes, cornsnakes, Northwestern Pacific Rattlesnakes, GTP, RTB and a few others. The benifets of having a Rattlesnake Removal and Reptile Rescue lol. I help him feed them. He has a whole lot of other reptiles also.

Thanks for the replies guys. Shortly after posting this question I checked on Dizzy and sure enough he was ghosty pale.
He shed about 4 hours later and had no problems or stuck bits.

And Erithiel.... one of my snakes -Slash- refuses food directly before a shed, he sits there and hugs the mouse ( I feed thawed out frozen prey). It's quite cute. Axel on the other hand will eat directly around 80% of the time.

How do I know my geckos are about to shed? I know I need to increase the humidity when they're about to shed? How long does it take too? My geckos have gone slightly white on the bottom half of their body and didn't eat as much last night as normal?
