Shedding question??

My leopard gecko's skin is a lighter color than what it was earlier. His numb tail is starting to shed. Does that mean he's going into a shedding process and is there anything I have to do and should be aware of?

yes sounds like it. Just make sure he has a humid hide and he should do it on his own. Check on him tomorrow to make sure he got it all off of him.

Okay. I have terrarium moss and i keep that dampish. I dont have the humid hide. is that something that i should purchase? and what should i do if not all of his shed is off? Im brand new to all this stuff. I really appreciate your reply

where do you have the moss at? it should not be in the whole tank. Only in a container. You can use a tupperware dish and make a hole on top.

Yeah, you could put the container in the center of the tank with the wet moss inside. He will go in it when he needs to.
