Shedding Question.

How often to adult leos shed? I've had my girl almost 4 weeks and I've never seen any evidence of her shedding. She is an albino, is it harder to tell when they are about to shed as opposed to a normal, darker one? I know what it looks like when they are about to shed, but I've never seen this in her. She has her humid hide, and 2 dry hides (one warm side, one cool). The temperature is a constant 90 degrees F. She seems pretty healthy and active, eats all the time and her poop is fine.

There is a possibility that she sheds when you don't see. I have one leo i almost never see shed but i know he sheds because ever week or so i see a very slight change. Also I think adults shed every 1-2 weeks.

Are you sure my adult leos shed around every 3 weeks so I guess 2 is a good guess. I think it also depends on how much your leo eats, cage conditions, etc.

Adults will shed once a month or every other month. It really depends on the Leo. Babies will shed more, once every other week and then start to shed less as they get older. There is also the chance your not seeing them shed they do eat there shed so most the time the only evidence is that they don’t eat as much or at all a day before or the day of there shed and that one day they will just look brighter then they did the day before. And just remember that all geckos are different and will have there own shedding pattern.
