shedding

I think my beardie is about to start shedding. The tip of his snout (bout a half inch back) and his tail have turned a opaque color much like a snake does when it is going to shed. What i wanted to know is how often do young beardies shed? Also, do i need to put anything course in the cage for him to rub agains to aid in shedding?

My youngest Sahara has shed every week and a half to 2 weeks in her first 6 months of life
It seems that every time that I look at her she is shedding/growing

Baby beardies grow so fast that a shed every 2 weeks is not unusual

A nice piece of grapevine or driftwood is good for them to rub up against during a shed
