So i looked at my SHTCTB today and noticed that she is in shed. She looks soo miserable, I was wondering if there is anything we as owners can do to help the shed process besides providing a moist hide?

For the most part you leave them alone to shed. But if they've been working on shedding for over a day, you could try gently peeling the skin off for them. The parts where they have more difficulties are often their head, neck, and their tail. If they go for more than 2 days of shedding you could give your gecko a warm bath, and use qtip to gently rub the excess shed skin off.

It's important to observe and make sure they don't leave any excess shed skin on their eyes, toes, or tail. As prolonged shed skins stuck to those areas could cause them to go blind, lose toes, or lose the tail completely.

Ken, here are some pointers from the Care page on my website:
"Leopard Geckos typically shed every 2-4 weeks, even more often when they're younger. It is critical that all the skin comes off, especially from the eyes and toes. Unshed skin on the toes will cut circulation and cause lost toes. The key to prevent shedding problems is to raise the humidity in the enclosure, when you see your gecko becoming "cloudy," mist the paper towel under their warm hide; if using a different substrate, simply place a folded or rolled up, wet paper towel in their warm hide. Get in the habit of checking your geckos, eyes, toes, vent and nose. Shedding issues tend to be more prevalent during the winter months when humidity in the home drops with the use of heaters. For retained shed, place your gecko in about 1/2" of warm water for 20-30 minutes. Then, use a swab to remove any remaining skin from their toes or eyelid in a rolling motion. For severe cases, it may be necessary to soak a second time, then remove using a swab dipped in vegetable or mineral oil in a rolling motion."
