so at the pet store i work at, we have a red foot tortoise. lately i have noticed a discoloration of her shell. where her spots are supposed to be yellow, they are very pale and there is what looks like mold or decay around the edges. it is not soft to the touch and does not come off when rubbed or scraped. i can only see it on the yellow parts of the shell but where the dark brown is against the yellow, it seems to be messing with the growth. the shell near it is not as detailed, if that makes sense. i dont know what it is. my thoughts are that her water is not clean enough even though it is changed at the very least every other day. i dont know what it is and i dont want her to get sick. any idea what it is.
