About your leo:
- Sex Male
- Age & Weight (Currently unknown)
- How long have you owned your leo Day 2!
- Where was he/she obtained (ex. Pet store, breeder, wild caught, friend) Pet store I work at- We only have rescued/abandoned pets

A) Health/History
- How often do you handle your leo Slowly transitioning him to his new home before I attempt to handle him

- Is your leo acting any different today? If so how does he/she normally act which differs from now. He is very slow moving and low to the ground, he will peak his nose out of his hide when i talk to him (I would feed him at the store when it was my shift for about a month) but has no desire to hunt still

- Has he/she had any problems in the past, if so please describe. Unknown

B) Fecals
- Describe (look any different than normal) Feces normal looking, but he hasn't went since he has been in his new home (day 2)

- When was the last time he/she went I worked this past tuesday and cleaned his tank, normal feces but I do not know when the last time he went was

C) Problem
- Please briefly describe the problem and how long it has been going on He was taken to the pet shop i recently started working at buy his owner and and was abandoned, my co-worker's ex boyfriend adopted him and when they split the leo came back to our store where he was for quite some time. I have noticed that he is missing claws on every limb but a few claws in think on his left hand. I m not sure if some are still under some skin that hasnt properly
shed. I am worried about his legs which seems slightly swollen. I also do not think he was given proper calcium but I have given him a supply in his new home and i hope he will start to hunt soon (even at the store he wasnt very eager to hunt). I have added pictures so you can see his feet, he has been spending a lot of time in his wet hide so hopefully if it is skin it will soften and rub off. I also see him rubbing his face in his wet hide. he was on wood chips at the store but now is on paper towel

Housing:
A) Enclosure
- Size 20 gal

- Type (ex. glass tank) Glass tank

- Type of substrate paper towel

- Hides, how many, what kind hide rock on cool side, and wet hide rock on hot side with heat pad under it (I spray his wet hide a couple times a day

B) Heating
- Heat source 75 w red Lamp and under tank heater (under wet hide and basking area)

- Cage temps (hot side, cool side) Hot side 91 f, cold side 78 f

- Method of regulating heat source heat I keep track of the temps

- What are you using to measure your temps Cage thermostats and moisture (31 %)

- Do you have any lights (describe) 75 wat red heat lamp

C) Cage mates N/A

- How many (males, females)
N/A
- Describe health, or previous problems
N/A

Describe Diet:
A) Typical diet
- What you're feeding (how often, how much) He isnt eating much, and i have not been able to get a steady amount of what he eats for his diet because we take turns caring for the animals on shift. He was eating crickets and superworms depending on what we had available at the store. The diet i plan to have him on is dusted crickets with calcium, d3, and 2 times a week rep vits. also have wax worms for some treats im not too sure if he has ever had them and maybe if i get the courage give him a pinkie every so often. (thankfully i live a few blocks from an amazing reptile specialty store with everything he would ever eat!!) Hoping he starts hunting soon, he ate one dusted cricket today but thats because it climbed in his hut in his mouth lol.

- How are you feeding (hand fed, left in dish, ect) I am putting about 4 or so crickets in his cage dusted and a waxworm and monitor him for about 15-30 mins then take them out. I tried this about twice today.

B) Supplements (describe how often) Bowl of calcium and d3 in his tank at all time and dusting cal d3, and rep vit. (planning on dusting with cal d3 every meal time and vit 2 times a week) and one drop of reptisafe in his water

- What vitamin/minerals are you using (list brands) zoo med calcium with d3, zoo med reptivite, and zoo med reptisafe water conditioner

- What are you gut loading food with cricket jelly and these crushed pellets for crickets, and cal d3 sprinkled on food

Overall, yout new little boy appears to be a pretty healthy little guy, and you seem to be doing good things for him. :) i dont personally see any noticible foot or leg swelling, so i might just attribute that to him being a rather chunky little guy! He probably lost his toes and/or claws due to bad sheds in the past, so i would definately keep my eye on that! and just a little note on your supplementing: remember that too much vitamin D3, and the multivitamins, can be potentially toxic in large doses. i would highly reccomend purchasing a calcium without D3 to keep in the tank, so that your gecko can get all of the calcium he needs without risk of an overdose. i really hope this helps, and good luck with your chunky little guy! :D

i second that. he looks good, lack of eating could just be him still settling in to his new home or maybe brumation.
as said plain calcium in the cage at all times and dust with the d3 cal and vitamin mix once or twice a week.

UPDATE:

My lil fellow is finally warming up to me! He is hunting well and has a very hardy appetite. Im lucky enough to have treats like silk worms, horn worms, and wax worms available close to my house and his main diet consists of mealworms. I was using crickets, but found they were too fast for him and would immediately run behind his wet hide. I am breeding my own mealworms for this lil guy and have been gut loading them with holistic dog food (chicken and wild brown rice) ground. The worms are thick and juicy and his skin has went from the dull colour in the picture posted to a beautiful greenish colour! I will post pictures of him for anyone interested shortly. He even will climb on my hand now and is such a social lil guy!

Make sure when you're measuring temperatures you're measuring them with a probe thermometer or Infrared thermometer on the ground over your UTH. In my experience a 75W bulb will produce way too much heat for a small tank like a 20 gallon. If the air temps on your warm side are 91 they may be too hot and you probably want to get the air temperature down closer to the 80-85 range. I don't recommend lights at all as they dry out the environment too much and can cause stress or other issues long term. Humidity in my enclosures is the same as my house (around 50-70%) if not slightly higher. I'd also recommend getting him a dry hide on the warm side in case he doesn't need the extra humidity in the moist hide.

Very healthy, if not fat, looking guy! He looks like a fabulous pet!
