I've decided to get a leopard gecko and started looking around for the best place to get one. I decided against ******** immeaditaly and I found a reptile shop. My only concern was that he kept the geckos on calcisand. I found a breeder a few hours from me and decided the cheapest way was to have it shipped. How does this affect the gecko, is it harmful for
It's health to be shipped a 100 or so miles and also what's the average price to pay for shipping. I'm impressed by the breeder and he seems to take great care of his lizards so I believe they are in good health. What are your experiences shipping geckos.

As long as the breeder knows how to ship, it's no problem. I usually pay anywhere from $30-$60 for shipping. $50 seems to be the average.
