Well for those that have seen my signature now that im about to get a trio of cresteds and a day gecko but i had a question would you ever ship a crested gecko over 90 degrees? the temps expected in the low 90's but i really need to get these guys since school is coming up i wont be able to pick them up at the post office. The guy im buying them from "baugh" on this forum will try if i really need them but can't gaurentee them alive and i dont want to risk killing them so im just curious wether or not ayones pulled this off and if i should go with it? the plan is to ship them with an icepack and ship them in the evening and me pick them up at the post office at 8:30 when they should arrive any comments would help Thanks

I have been breeding and selling for a few years now and I wouldtry to aviod doing that . Safety of the animals always comes in first. If any type of delay would happen that ice pack will not go very far in that kind of heat. And keep in mind it will be a good 20+ degrees hotter in that little box, if everything goes perfect, yes the animals will probably be ok, but you never know, if you are willing to go ahead and waive the live arrival garauntee, then go ahead with it, I personally have never had any problems shipping or recieving animals(knock on wood), so it is left up to you, it is not the best idea but it has been done before many of times I'm sure.

If everything goes accordingly yes they should be fine if you get to them early enough in the morning, and the cold pack will lower probably in the range of 20 degrees or so.

I would like to suggest that you wait until it gets down at least in the mid to low 80's
I know that everything would probably be OK BUT-What If something did happen?

I had a very bad experience this past winter with someone shiping me a Super Snow baby despite my request not to ship-in extremely cold temps and it was not late but still arrived frozen to death

That is a sight that I hope to never to see again
The extreme heat is just as bad -imo

just my 2 cents
