Should I be concerned??

I just fed my leopard gecko two superworms just right now but didn't realize he was in the process of shedding. He ate both of them all the same but now he crammed himself into the back of his dry warm hide and is panting like crazy.

Is this normal??

Idk about the panting, but as far as him eating while shedding, ours do that all the time. If there's food in there they'll eat it no matter what they're doing, so I don't see that hurting anything. (lol)

What do you mean by panting? Open mouthed, gaping?

His mouth is closed but he's taking these deep breathes practically bobbing his head as he does it.

Boy, I hate superworms. If your gecko did not chew them enough the superworms might have bitten his mouth or throat.
