Hey everyone, so one of my baby geckos got out again for 2 weeks and finally found him upstairs!! Haha. So I got two bigger tanks which they are both in separately. But my question is, should I put them in one tank? I bought them as a pair and since I've separated them one of them has stopped eating and they both go towards each other's tanks since they are next to each other, should I put them in one tank again?

Alright, so I put them together, as soon as they noticed each other, the one I believe to be a male started shaking his tail at the other one, they circled each other and then licked faces and now it's all good! Haha

That's a mating ritual. If you don't want eggs or of your male is under 40g and female under 50g separate right away. Was it the male that stopped eating? A lot of times they do that if they want to mate. Females will do it too if they're ovulating

Really..? They are just babies. Haha. I'm guessing on sexes right now. They have been cuddled up with each other all day now. Should I be concerned?

Once they hit about 30g they can breed. If they are opposite sexes and you don't want babies I would keep them apart. Additionally they can hurt themselves trying to breed when too small. Leos can be sensitive to environmental changes whether they're good or bad. I would assume the stress of moving to a new cage would be the reason the one stopped eating moreso than being separated from the other gecko. They are super cute tho!!

Some males are less amorous than others but some will try to mate with a female whether she wants to or not as soon as they can and as often as they are able. This can result in some nasty disagreements or even death for one gecko if the female is not willing. Some of mine have done well in breeding groups but some of my females are less tolerant and some of my males are more pushy and cannot be kept together without fights breaking out.

Not trying to be a jerk, but if you aren't going to take our advice to improve the health and ensure the safety if your pets, don't bother asking for it. Sorry, just one of my pet peeves. I hope everything's works out for you!

Well someone said keep them together, and someone said keep them apart, when they are apart one of them stops eating and when they are together they both eat and everything is good, sorry if I made t seem that way.
