Should I try it?

My female leopard gecko hasn't been eating very much lately, and she seems to only eat out of my hand (i haven't seen her eat out of her bowl in a while).
I put her in with some crickets and she tryed to catch them but they were too fast so she just gave up and wouldn't try anymore. So now I'm wondering if maybe I should give her a waxworm or maybe even a pinky, do you guys think that would be alright to give her?

pull one leg off a cricket and see if she can track down a one legged cricket. If she shows interest in food, that's a good sign.

Maybe try a superworm, they are a bit more energetic and trigger a feeding response better sometimes.

I realize we have them in heated homes, but it seems even that doesn't stop Nature from taking its course. As the weather gets colder they are definitely slowing down.

Your gecko shouldn't stop eating entirely though. Keep an eye on weight & the thickness of his/her tail. The tail is the quickest way to see if your leo is not eating because it'll get skinny.

I'm not really sure, she's a little over 7" but I don't know about the weight cause I don't have a scale that measures in grams.

Actually maybe something wiggly would get her back into eating. Do you guys know of any really wiggly bugs I could give to her, and if so were do I get them and how much do they cost?

I think is has so do with is the pinky wider than its eyes/ throat. I haven't feed any yet. But than some people have said phoenix worms work really well too cause they're very wiggly and that stimulates them into feeding.

i don't think she'd be big enough to tackle a pinky at only ~7"

phoenix worms are supposed to be wiggly and supers move around quite a bit too... phoenix worms/soldier fly larvae are like $5 for a cup of 50 plus shipping, i get supers at the pet store and they're like 10 cents each i think so they're about the same price i guess now that i think about it
