Should they be separated?

Our female laid 2 eggs 7 days ago, and I removed the male from the cage. We were not intending for them to breed, and I wasn't even 100% sure that they were not both the same gender. I had the idea that she would be stressed with the male in the cage. They were getting along fine (obviously :main_laugh: ), but I didn't know if they could mate too much :main_huh: Until now I had the 2 of them in a 20L tank, now the female is still in the main tank and the male has been put in the 10 gallon dog house. I know this is too small for him to stay in..... Could I put him back in with her? If I waited until mating season is over would they still be compatible if separated for a long period of time? Or should I start saving for a second 20L tank.....? I am set up now to incubate a few eggs if there are more, but I don't want to take a toll on the female. Any advice would be much appreciated!!

if you don't want eggs or your female getting stressed, keep your male seperated all the time.

search the forum about incubation and stuff

or google
