Looking for different ideas on how to set up the inside of my first tubs. I'd like to fit in the essential hides, moist area, food/water/calcium bowls etc.

this is a tight squeeze especially in a 6qt tub, so please show me how you do yours? :)

I'm looking to improve on this (below). I need to eat 2 more bags of chips before I have 2 more empty chipdip containers...lol. But I really don't like how easy the containers get pushed around and they are so big... and I don't see how I would even fit a warm and moist hide of appropriate sizes??

Should a 25-30gram Leo be in a bigger tub?
How do you provide a moist area in your tubs?

Looking for suggestions, advice, or examples please. :)

I think if you watched Matt Baronak's videos you would have a great idea of how to set them up. For hides just go to a local grocery store and ask for those foam plates they use for ground beef. Once they get dirty you can toss them. You can also just get some small tupperware and just cut the holes in the lid and use that for moist hide.

That's what I have in my first tank. But I can't fit 3 hides in a 6qt tub. :( Or should I get bigger tubs for 25g Leo's? (nevermind...I remember seeing a "Poll: tub size" thread the other day...I will go find it. :) )

I'm sorry I didn't have a answer to you question but I don't have a rack system. As far as I know in a rack system you should only need 1 hide per tub.

I am setting up the larger (12qt tubs) just as seen below, right under the drill. Water-rock, large hide that spans from warmside almost to coolside. Now I need a moist area and a 20oz-bottle-lid with calcium for each tank. I think I will use tupperware with the front cut open as the moist-hide, and I may put it on top of the warm hide.(??)

On the rack itself:

3" THG heattape
Alife 1000 On/off thermostat :(
----T-stat probe taped to heattape
digital thermometer taped to heattape
digital thermometer taped to hotspot of empty "mock-tub"

In the pic below you can also see my cricket tub and my 10gal cricket "rearing tank" (no "pinheads" yet...crossing my fingers)

I use 3 28s for my large males as seen. That guy in the picture is 97 grams and just under 2 years old. I use 3 41s for 3 groups of 2 females. The females have 2 humid hides/lay boxes, and 2 large hides, 1 cool and 1 hot. Hope that helps someone. They are all healthy, handled almost daily by my kids and I, and have never had health issues so far!

Nice job but I would find smaller hides not even any floor space to use for a bathroom

actually, there are lips around the hides, creating tunnels along the ground that they explore, plus since the containers are touching eachother, they explore all over the tops :D and trust me, they all have their little poop corner on the tank (except dinosaur, who goes IN his dry hide XD )
