I have had a pair of SHTCTB since the orlando repticon last may. When I bought them, the female was 5 months and the male was 6 months. When I bought them they were bright dark orange. The female is still about the same, but the male is very bright yellow now. What would have caused this? They both have supplements, heat, humitidy boxes, and hides. Their baby also was brown and white for the first few weeks, and is now 2 months old and yellow/orange banded. I don't know if it was genetic or something else, but I liked the male when I bought him, and he was orange not yellow. Thanks for answering!

Your male looks just like mine. When we first got him he had the same bright dark orange bands & overall coloration. Now he is a bright yellow & has less orange on his tail.

I think he is a good lookin guy, like said up above they change color as they grow and before and after breeding can make you wonder if thats the same gecko some times. Now that all mine are coloring back up makes me remember why I breed them in the first place. This is the first year that some of my baby's colors got brighter instead of fading.

When they are bred they tend to lose coloration so after breeding they will get it back. They also grow and gain more coloration.
