SHTCTB Question?

My question is:
You have a SHTCTB male and female that has 25% CT can they produce babies that have 50% or more CT or because they both only have a 25% Ct they are more likely to produce SHTCTB babies with a lower percentage of a carrot tail? So if you want to have SHTCTB babies with a high percentage of CT you need to use a male and female with high percentages (If they both have high percentages of CT are you guaranteed to get babies with high percentages of CT)? Or can you produce SHTCTB babies with a high percentage of CT with a male and female that have a low percentage of carrot tail also? Hope that makes sense to someone!!! Thanks!!!

You definatly COULD get a gecko with 50% CT by breeding two together with 25% CT. You could also get some with no CT. Though you're more likely to make high color offspring with high color parents, because of the way CT is inherited, (polygenic), all sorts of surprises can pop out.

Just that several genes affect how the individual looks. There is no one gene for carrot-tail, many genes are involved.
