What a drag!!
Last week my kids were diagnosed with whooping cough. My daughter brought it home from school.:main_no: My kids incase **** (insurance) is mass health. They just started a new branch of health care, so we give the pediatric the card and they fight with us for about 2 1/2 hours saying they don't accept the insurance. Even after Mass health and the new branch (don't remember the name) confirmed them as listed primaries.
Then I came down with this nasty rash on my left rib cage. Turns out it's ring worm. I can't touch my kids or my wife which really blows.... The doctor said not even to dwell on trying to figure out where it came from since you can get it literally from anything or anywhere. Food, shaking hands, my cats, dogs, door knobs what ever. my wife took my dog Miatuk and three cats to the vet. That ran me $400 bucks just for the visit. Turns out they're clean. However, On top of that was an oral preventative medication that cost $150 smacks. I use a different vet for my coldbloods and he's away on vacation for the next three weeks.:main_angry:
Then the same week my father and mother in law, whom also live with us, came down with a nasty viral infection. Gave that to the kids. Lets just say they were pulling an "exorcist" from both ends. Can you dig it!!
Nothing hurts more than seeing the kids eyes look at you all like "help me pls" and not being able to do anything about it. My poor wife had to take care of all the animals and the sick kids. All of them said symptoms started out as normal fluenza like symptoms. Stuffy, sneezing, aches, and sore throat, and just got worse from there. Just so happens today was feeding and cleaning day. My wife Tanya has been in bed since 5:00 yesterday mourning with it and can't stop well.......you know. Ha Ha low and behold, I now can't stop sneezing with a sore throat. Can't wait to see what tomorrow holds for me...:main_evilgrin: "Hey that telephone pole looks pretty tasty":main_laugh:
So whats a good speed. I say a buck 10.:main_laugh: (J/K)

Ian keep all those germs in whatever part of MA you're in. No driving through the south shore, OK? We've been battling ear infections, viral eye nastiness and an assortment of things better left unsaid. February is a bad month for MA!! Get well soon.

OMG Ian! I hope you all get better soon! And, once everyone is feeling better, I would go out and buy as much disinfectant as you can afford and spray down the house!

As a former wrestler ive been through ringworm many many times.

On top of it all, meds wont kill it off completely buddy. It might be a year before you get all of that s**t off of you.

My only advice for the ringworm is to cut it open and poor bleach in it. No I'm not crazy.

Put ive also got some really great cream I got from a GMC store! I'll try to find it and give you a name brand.

Cheers

LOL.... ringworm is a fungus extremely similar to athletes foot.(practically identicle) All that is required for treatment is athletes foot or any other anti fungal cream. If the symptoms don't dissipate within two weeks as reccomended an oral anti fungal medication will be administered that will cure it within 2-4 weekstime. :)

ahh your fungal cream and doctor will tell you it goes away in 4 weeks. and sure it will cure off your chest, but pop up on your back, then your head, then your arms, untill your chasing it around your body like a rapid rat.

nono really i have some special soap and cream that will stop you from spreading it. Just let me find the buggar.

Change your sheets as often as possable

Try to cover it with cloth, NOT BAND AID.

Blah blah blah

3 years of wrestling on dirty matts, ive caught it a few times.

Alright! I go back to the doctors today for that ring worm, and guess what.....It's not ring worm. Good news for the geckos, bad news for me. It's a rash known as Pityriasis Rosea 90% of the time misdiagnosed as ringworm. :) Good news ehh...:main_yes:
WRONG!!!
The doctor says... "We have no idea what it is,why it happens,or what cuases it." There's no cure. Just home remedies to controll the itch. The great news... (really...realy get this), is that it usually worsens and spreads across the entire back and goes away in about 4-8 weeks after the mass spread. He graciously then follows with "Well have fun hurrying up and ...waiting." basically web md says the same thing minus mentioning the mass spread??? hmmm (hopefully he's wrong on that crap.) :main_thumbsup:
at least it's not contageous to others:banana: .....:main_rolleyes:

good thing I didn't pay for that visit. I woulda flipped a lid

I had it about 14 years ago...and it does suck!! Corn starch works great for the itching. The scaring is strange, it almost looks like a burn, just not as bad, and can last a few months, like I said before. I can't remember for sure how long the actual itching lasted but it was a long time.
