This May or may not be the correct section. I recently purchased a gecko I really like him but I think I'm in way over my head with his health problems. Any idea how to go about getting him to a new owner? I dot want him to go to anyone who will be in the same situation as me. I also can't let it go for free as I need money back to cover what I paid for him.

If your interested or know how I can find someone who is please let me know!

Maybe. Turns out a lot of people at repticon apparently aren't very creditable. My friend bought a snake from the same place and it turned out to be a wild caught snake. She took it to an exotic reptile keeper and ended up having to let it go. Now I'm really wondering all of what's wrong with this little guy.

I can't afford to keep him unless I want him to die there's defiantly something wrong with him. I literally have absolutely no idea what to do now... Who's gonna want a sick gecko..

I saved one from p t mrt once, it was as skinny as a rail and barely moved, but it was too far gone :( yours has some serious health problems though, that needs serious vet care. You could try to find a reptile foster kind of thing in your area.

At most, it might need meds for some kind of mouth infection, from what you've described it might be the beginning stage of one or just a sore. That seems to be the worst of it, and it looks rather healthy besides. The tail kink happens, with proper diet and gut loaded feeders the kink could straighten itself out enough to where it's barely noticeable.
The chances of it dying so quickly from the mouth issue are slim, one vet visit and maybe some meds and this guy will almost be completely healthy and normal looking.

Any gecko is capable of getting into this situation, even if it has been in your ownership for some time.

Yeh if it's just the mouth thing. Which is what I'm hoping for because I can get some discounted stuff through my veterinary class but if he also has mbd that discount isn't enough

Yeah, Im sure its not mbd. That's a pretty serious disease, and he looks far from that. I would at least try to get him to a vet one time before you give him to someone else, because you may be able to help him :)
