Hello. I hope everyone is doing fine today. I have some questions regarding my sick leopard gecko's condition if it is not too much of a hassle please help me. I got my leopard gecko about 2 months ago, from a breeder. He was about a year old I assume? However he was always very skinny. When I got him he would eat very little about 1 cricket every 2 days... and his poop consistency was always not normal I suppose. Also 1 eye was always closed i asked the breeder about it and he said not to worry as he accidentally poked his eye when he was young wtf...? Recently i have noticed numerous changes in his health not sure if its crypto or he is impacted. He started losing weight even though he was already a very skinny guy from 25g to 16g now. His tail is pencil like and he is always very lethargic. I soaked him in warm water about 2 days back and both his eyes were shut I took a q tip and cleaned out his eyes which were filled with pus and white stuff one eye even had a huge piece of yellow in it. One eye is still cloudy.... The side with the cloudy eye had this bump/lump too.He doesnt want to open both eyes. I hope its not crypto. Also when I got him he had this really dark belly like the whole thing was black. Please help me thanks. He ate 1 cricket 2 days back if that helps at all. Sorry for the bad picture quality.

Unfortunately, your little one doesn't look very well. I would suggest you start looking into a veterinarian in your area who will treat reptiles. If he's going to stand a shot at recovery, he needs to be tested for parasites and Crypto and receive treatment if possible.

We can certainly help with troubleshooting anything in his cage/feeding routine that can be improved if you want to fill out the health questionnaire and post it here, but any improvements need to be done in addition to seeing a vet.

I'd contact the breeder you got him from and let them know what's going on. Honestly he looks pretty far gone and I'm not sure there's a whole lot of hope. He's exhausted his fat reserves and the yellow dot on his face looks like there may be an infection or something going on inside his mouth. His stomach also looks quite dark and that's usually not a great sign. Getting him to a reptile vet would be his best bet but you'll need to do it soon, like in the next day or two, if he has any chance at all. Sorry to be so grim but he's in really rough shape :/

Do you by any chance know what the dark stomach means? Is he impacted or is it crypto I really need to know..
