Sick leopard gecko

About a week ago, my leopard gecko musta ate too much mealworms or something.

He vomited all the mealworms out. Then I saw a lil blood stain on the towel. That was the only time. Since then, he hasn't eatten for a week.

The first night he vomited, he was a lil sick and didn't move much.

But by next day and up till today, he's perfectly active and alert, just not eatting.

I examined him for prolapse, examined for mouth rot, checked for any sign of impact, but I think he vomitted everything out. No unusual purp spots under when focused with light, so don't think theres impaction or internal bleeding.

My only other thing I had to check for was parasites. My vet charges a crap load for check up but only 15$ for a fecal sample. I can't get any recent sample since he hasn't eatten or pooped. But about 3 day after he vomited, i boouth in the most recent poop and test turned out clean.

My temperatures are right I believe. The hotside is about 94-96 and coolside is roughly 80ish.

Don't know what else is wrong. I soak him every 3 days so far to make sure hes hydrated and I managed to get him to lick Crested Gecko diet from his nose so I've been doing that recently. I'mma try some wax worms tomorrow. Maybe he formed a negative assocation/food aversion with mealworms from the vomit and won't eat it.

Well, he won't eat wax worms either. I'm forcing crested gecko diet in him but haven't seen him poop. Don't think he's eatting enough, but I can only force feed so much before he stops licking it off his nose. Most the fat storage on his tail is being used up already. Really don't know whats wrong.

Well, i went and bought the repta-aid.

Can't get him to open his mouth so I sorta just had him lick it again. Don't think he likes it as much since its not sweet like CGD.

Well, the nice thing about repta-aid is that it is like food... It has nutrient in it and it jumps starts their metabolism to want to eat... since I've started, I can actually get a feeder response when I wiggle my finger for him... Sadly, no mealies eaten... yet... I am optimistic though!

If you have a syringe, you can point it to the side of his mouth and press gently on the bottom of his side lip...it will make his mouth open so you can let him drink the vitamins, slurry, or any stuff that you're giving him. Drop the liquid in slowly though so you don't choke him. This is what my vet told me to do to give Spots her antibiotics and medicated baby food

Good luck!

I've had leos go 6 month without eating.its frustrating.as long as your setup is dead on and they havnt lost an alarming amount of fat try not to stress out about it.they'll come around.make sure your temps are ok .are u switching something in their cage?

Well, I'm not force feeding like krazy. Its just a dab on the nose and they lick it off. Nope, nothing changed in the cage. It all started after he threw up. I mean I changed the paper towel, but I doubt that really is a problem lol.

But wow, 6 months without food? How does it even survive? Don't maintaining bodily function like lungs, brain, etc burn calories? For those who's gecko went on hunger strike? DId it just suddenly eat again? What did you guys do?

keep trying different foods. As long as the leo looks alert ,hasnt lost a ton of weight, just be patient.ive done asssit feeding after 3months where u hold her upright and gently rub the side of her jaw ,she'll open her mouth, just pop the food in her mouth ,but thats after a long while. One of my geckos years back got out of her cage someone and 9 months later i found her 2 floors down, thin as a rail, grey colour but she lived
