Sorry about the lack of detail in my first post, I was just in panic mode. btw can't get in to see a herp dr here until the 11th of Oct, he's on vaca so now I am really freaking out.

About your leo:
- Sex FEMALE
- Age & Weight 6-8 MTS (NOT 100% SURE) SHE IS 13 ½ - 1 GRAMS NOW, SO WHEN SHE WAS HEALTHY PROBABLY 20 GRAMS.
- How long have you owned your leo SINCE JUNE 9 2011
- Where was he/she obtained (ex. Pet store, breeder, wild caught, friend) PETSTORE - PETSMART

A) Health/History
- How often do you handle your leo ALMOST DAILY
- Is your leo acting any different today? If so how does he/she normally act which differs from now. SHE IS VERY LETHARGIC, NOT EATING, ALL THE FAT IS GONE FROM HER TAIL, SEEMS TO BE STUCK IN AN ‘S’ SHAPE.
- Has he/she had any problems in the past, if so please describe. SHE HAD HEAT STROKE IN JULY. IT TOOK HER 2 MONTHS TO RECOVER BUT SHE WAS DOING EXCELLENT FOR THE PAST MONTH, NOW THIS.
B) Fecals
- Describe (look any different than normal) NOT AS MUCH, MORE PEE THEN POO.
- When was the last time he/she went NOT 100% SURE BUT I THINK IT WAS YESTERDAY (THE DAY AFTER THE SYMPTOMS WERE DISCOVERED)
C) Problem
- Please briefly describe the problem and how long it has been going on
I came home from 2 days ago to find my gecko completely out of sorts. She is very, very lethargic, all the 'chubby' is gone out of her tail, and her back RIGHT foot is swollen 4 times its size. Since Tuesday, she has not eaten, lost more weight, is more lethargic, and seems to be stuck in an (S) shape, if that makes ne sense. However, the swelling in her foot is gone down almost half. She has also turned really white so now I am at the point where I’m praying too all that’s holy that it is just a bad shed.

Housing:
A) Enclosure
- Size 18X18X18
- Type (ex. glass tank) GLASS
- Type of substrate ECO CARPET
- Hides, how many, what kind ONE ROCK OUTCROP WHICH SHE CAN GET INSIDE AND A CAVE OPEN AT BOTH ENDS WITH HER MOSS.
B) Heating
- Heat source UNDERTANK HEATER AND INFERRED LIGHTING
- Cage temps (hot side, cool side)DAY- HOT 85 COLD 80 NIGHT – HOT 75 COLD 70
- Method of regulating heat source I HAVE AN EXO TERRA 26W UVB BULB ALONG WITH A 75W INFERRED RED BULB ON ALL DAY TO MAINTAIN DAY TEMPS. AT NIGHT I TURN THESE OFF AND TURN ON A 75W MOON LIGHT. UNDERTANK HEATER STAYS ON ALL NIGHT. ON REALLY HOT DAY, OF WHICH WE DON’T GET MANY, I TURN HER LIGHTS OFF IN THE DAY IF I SEE THE BASKING THERMOMETER REACH OVER 95 AIR TEMP.
- What are you using to measure your temps 2 THERMOMETERS. NOT DIGITAL, NOT STICK ON, THE ROUND ONES WITH THE SPRING
- Do you have any lights (describe) source I HAVE AN EXO TERRA 26W UVB BULB ALONG WITH A 75W INFERRED RED BULB ON ALL DAY TO MAINTAIN DAY TEMPS. AT NIGHT I TURN THESE OFF AND TURN ON A 75W MOON LIGHT.
C) Cage mates NONE N/A
- How many (males, females)
- Describe health, or previous problems

Describe Diet:
A) Typical diet
- What you're feeding (how often, how much) SHE WILL ONLY EAT CRICKETS SINCE THE STROKE. SHE USED TO LOVE HER MEAL WORMS, BUT SINCE JULY IT HAS BEEN STRICTLY CRICKETS. I HAVE SEEN HER EAT AS MANY AS 10 IN A DAY/SITTING, AND AS LITTLE AS NONE, BUT ON AVERAGE SHE IS EATING ABOUT 5 A DAY (EXPCEPT FOR THE LAST 2 DAYS. SHE IS NOT EATING NOW)
- How are you feeding (hand fed, left in dish, ect) I JUST TOSS THE CRICKETS IN WITH HER.
B) Supplements (describe how often)
- What vitamin/minerals are you using (list brands) I DUST ALL HER CRICKETS. I WAS USING FLUKERS BRAND CALCIUM BUT I GOT EXO TERRA THIS TIME, THIS ILLNESS HAPPENED DIRECTLY AFTER I SWITCHED. MAYBE THAT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT??
- What are you gut loading food with CRICKETS ARE EATING AN OAT CEREAL WITH TROPICAL FISH FLAKE MIXED IN.

First off if she is 6-8 months and was only 20 grams to begin with something was wrong already. All of my geckos that I have owned well surpass that in their second month. Is start looking around for other herp vets if your local is away.

Raise your hot side temp up 90-95 on the ground. Buy a digital thermometer with a probe. She should have at least 3 hides. 1 humid hide, 1 hide in cold side and 1 hide in warm side. You should have calcium with/d and one without D and a multivitamin supplement. Have you been dusting her crickets? how often?

Either way, an 8 month old petsmart gecko that weighs 13 grams sounds like it has a problem that no one but a trained vet can fix or at least properly attempt to fix. I'm trying to picture a geck that long and skinny and i just see a skeleton in my eyes, since some of my 2-4 week olds have hit that number and then some. I just feel like there is more to this that we are not being told. I apologize if my accusations are wrong, but I just feel like there is some information the op has left out..

Also when most vets go away they usually leave a number to an emergency vet on their answering service. Can you call and listen to see if one is provided?

I understand, I totally agree. I was just telling her the things that needed to be adjusted. It was mentioned from day 1 she needs a vet asap.

Nothing has been left out, y would I jeprodize the health of my gecko by providing false/inadequate info, I would not have posted at all if that was the case. I also would not have tracked down and new herp vet for her to get an appt for tomorrow and I also would not be paying a vet bill for an animal that I am being told probably can't be fixed. I can't believe u said u see skin and bones. I will attach a few pics so u can see the difference. The flukers calcium has d3. I dust all my crickets every time. I only got the uv because of the way it helps bodies metabolize calcium and I wanted to avoid her having problems with calcium deficiency. pictures of both habitat and gecko are to follow.

So you were able to get an appt. for tomorrow, that's great news. I also use UVB lights on all my reptiles without any problems as long as they have the appropriate hides and it's not too bright in the whole cage. I direct the light to one side of the enclosure.

By the curve in that leg I want to say MBD, but MBD would not cause her to drop weight so rapidly, so there is more to the problem than just MBD. And sorry to be blunt, but that gecko did NOT go from its state in pic 1 to its state in pic 2 overnight.

this was taken just now. Now so much kin and bones considering she hasn't eaten in a few days. She's petite.

I see the difference. Well make the adjustments that I pointed out and make sure her enclosure does not overheat again. Unfortunately you have no feces to bring in for a fecal exam. The vet most likely will give you suggestions on how to feed. Good Luck and let us know how things turn out tomorrow.
